"Clean, tidy and quiet with amazing breakfast"
Staying with Larsen and his crew gives you a super nice Moroccan experience! Lots of smiles, good people and atmosphere!
Best place to arrive after a long flight. Quiet, spacious, comfy mattress with clean sheets. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful and we felt very welcome at the Surf House. The breakfast was great, I particularly remember that as being the best breakfast in Morocco. The location is very convenient, a short walk to the beach and into town and only a short drive from Taghazout and Agadir. Overall it was great, we had a super week and we advice everybody to stay at this Surf House!!!
Would definitely stay here again!

Cli Surf Camps are situated in the Agadir region of southern Morocco. Taghazout Bay is a unique peaceful town on Morocco's southern Atlantic coast. Conveniently situated 45 min from Agadir international airport it's a short hop (2-4 hours) from most European countries. It's the closest place for any European to get year-round sunny weather, warm water, perfect waves, good people and a unique cultural experience.
The Kingdom of Morocco is served by direct cheap flights from the UK and the majority of European airports. On average, most flights to Agadir are between 2-4 hours. People travelling from the United States and Canada can connect either in Casablanca or at a European airport, as there are no direct flights to Agadir or Marrakech. From Agadir airport it's only a 45-minute drive southeast along a coastal main road. Collection & drop off to Agadir (Airport or Bus Station) are included in our package deals. We can also arrange collection & drop off to Marrakech. This service costs a flat rate of around €90 and can accommodate up to 4 people. Alternatively there are many coaches (e.g CTM and Supratours) servicing the Marrakech-Agadir route. The journey should take between 2 -3.5hours. If you would like to arrange a private transfer to/from Marrakech, please contact us in advance so we can organise this for you. Airlines servicing Agadir and Marrakech are listed below.
FOR AGADIR : Easyjet | Thomsonfly | Flythomascook | BMI | Royal Air Maroc scheduled flights.
FOR MARRAKECH : Ryanair | Skyscanner | Easyjet | Thomsonfly | Royal Air Maroc.
EU, CA and US passport holders (with a passport that is valid for at least 6 months beyond your return date) do not require a visa to enter Morocco as a tourist.

The currency is the Moroccan Dirham. Exchange rates (at the last time of checking) were around 12.7 dh to £1, 11 dh to €1 and 8 dh to $1. We suggest obtaining some from a Currency Exchange prior to arriving as many services (e.g taxis) only accept cash. There are exchange facilities and cashpoints/ATMs in the airport and throughout Agadir, should you have any trouble obtaining cash prior to your arrival in Morocco. Please note that the village of Taghazout bay (where we’re located) doesn’t have a cashpoint/ATM, however there are plenty in Aourir, a quick 3 minute drive from our location. One of our team drivers will take you anytime you need cash, you need only ask.
Most people find their mobile will connect with a local network however international roaming charges differ depending on your provider. Should you need to make a phone call you can find €2, €5, €10 and €20 international phone cards in most grocery stores and they can be used from any payphone. We can help you with any language barriers while using the cards, but they are generally quite straightforward.
Of course! Both the Surf Camp and the apartments are run at the same high standard of service, with the same friendly and professional staff, comfortable cars and good quality surfing equipment available.
Our meals are amazing! Our chefs will prepare a mixture of Moroccan and international dishes throughout the week and serve more than adequate portions to ensure your tummy is happy and always full. If you have any dietary requirements, please let us know in advance so our chefs can prepare something to meet your needs.
Yep! Bath towels are included while staying at the Surf House but not in the apratments stay. We ask that these towels stay in-house and aren’t taken to the beach. We encourage you to pack your own beach towel or purchase one from the souk (market).
We understand that some people have special dietary requirements and we try our utmost to cater to this. Please let us know in advance so our chefs can prepare something to meet your needs, hopefully without having to change too much so you can still enjoy the taste and experience.
Morocco is on 220 volts with two-pin round plugs (European style). We have a few extras for those who may have forgotten to pack theirs.
Whether you’re getting in at 4pm or 4am, we are completely flexible, however it is not always possible to have your room ready before 2pm on the day of your check in. If you do want to arrive early and your room isn't immediately available, start enjoying yourself anyway! We'll take care of your bags and get you started on whatever service you have booked. Check out is officially 12pm, but if you would like a later check out, let us know in advance and we'll do our best.
It's really up to you. You can relax in the accommodation, dine on the rooftop terrace overlooking the ocean and enjoy a drink under the stars. Perhaps you want to participate in games with the other guests, play guitar or Jambi. You could always get comfy and watch a film or venture out for a mint tea in the village. Alternatively we can arrange taxis for those who fancy checking out Agadir's nightlife. Please note that Taghazout bay and the surrounding villages are dry towns, meaning no alcohol is served. If you’re looking to go out for a drink, you’ll need to head to Agadir. Alternatively we don’t mind if you bring a few drinks back to the camp. Again, you will need to go into one of the major supermarkets in Agadir to purchase alcohol.
We recommend €10 - €15 a day. But of course this amount varies depending on how much eating, shopping and nightlife activities you want to get involved in.
Morocco is a very safe country. Tourism is an important part of our economy so you can feel at ease knowing the government takes every measure to ensure the safety and security of those visiting Morocco.
The official language is Moroccan Arabic, however French is the recognised business and higher education language. Berber language is also spoken by a large majority of Moroccan Berbers also known as Amazigh people (native Moroccans). Due to its proximity to the southern coast of Spain, many people in the northern regions of Morocco speak Spanish, while English and German are often spoken in popular tourist destinations. Our team is multi-lingual, should you have any questions, one of us is sure to speak your language.
Morocco is a liberal and modern Muslim country, men and women are welcome to wear shorts and t-shirts. Bikinis are only normal on the beach, so be sure to bring a change of clothes when travelling to/from the ocean. It is preferable to cover up your arms and legs a bit when walking around the village or the city. Shorts, tees and flip-flops are the norm. Warm clothes are sometimes needed, especially in mid-winter when the evenings can be chilly. Being a coastal town there’s often a breeze, so we suggest bringing a light jacket or jumper.
Most Muslims here don’t consume alcohol however alcohol is available throughout Morocco. You can bring a limited amount of alcohol through the airport/duty free and boozy drinks can be legally sold and served from certain supermarkets and bars. Please note that Tamraght and the surrounding villages are dry towns, meaning no alcohol is served. If you’re looking to go out for a drink, you’ll need to head to Agadir. Alternatively we don’t mind if you BYO a few drinks back to the camp. Again, you will need to go into one of the major supermarkets in Agadir to purchase alcohol.
Our surf lessons start at 10:00 AM, you will spend 30 minutes stretching and warming up followed by 3 hours of surf lessons with our qualified surf instructors. For some people, this is enough and they like to relax on the beach. For the others that are keen to get back in the water, enjoy a supervised afternoon surf session where you can practice and get feedback from the instructors. Either way, you’re guaranteed a full day’s worth of surfing, should you want it!
You’ll soon forget those nerves because you’ll be having too much fun. Our surf lesson packages are specially designed for beginners and are fully supervised by qualified surf instructors. So long as you can swim and feel comfortable being in the water, you can learn how to surf! If you are still nervous, chat to one of the friendly team members and we’ll do our best to help get you back on the board.
We start you off on a foam board as they are super easy to learn on. When you get the hang of it, we have a wide selection of boards that you can graduate onto.
We are highly sensitive about the size of group we teach. There are a maximum of 6 people for each surf instructor to ensure you get the most out the experience.
We provide everything you need (surfboard(s), leash and warm Ripcurl wetsuit). If you want to bring your own gear, please do so by all means.
The Moroccan authorities have made efforts to make tap water meet World Health Organization standards, very few people who drink tap water in Morocco experience problems. To avoid any risk of falling ill on your holiday, we suggest only drinking bottled water. In restaurants, you are generally safe however you should be wary when eating from street food stalls. Ice in drinks is fine as is brushing your teeth with tap water.
Yes please! When you sign up and you submit a liability release stating you agree to get valid travel/medical coverage during your stay with us. We don't accept any traveller without travel insurance & proof of cover is required prior to arrival. We don’t want to sound like sticklers but this is for your protection!! It’s very, very rare that guests are injured during their stay with us, but it’s always best to have travel/medical insurance in times where accidents do occur.
No vaccinations are required for visitors to Morocco nor are anti-malarial precautions necessary. We have first aid equipment along with staff trained in administering first aid. In case of an emergency, there are hospitals and clinics in the city. Medical charges will apply according to the treatment received, so make sure you have travel insurance before you arrive! There are two pharmacies in Tamraght, both are open daily.
